About Huon: Directors
Huon’s founding directors are Graham Reilly and Martin Boyd. Both are professional engineers with extensive careers in civil engineering construction and project management.
Graham Reilly
Graham is responsible for the overall administration, estimating and business development. He is also responsible for the operation of the company’s management system. Graham runs the consulting and project management activities for the company.
Graham has worked in the construction industry for more than 30 years, in Australia and overseas and has held several board positions in the construction and property development fields for the last 20 years.
Graham holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and has recently completed a graduate diploma in applied finance and investment. He has extensive experience in company and financial management as well as being a company director. He is a Founding Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia and an affiliate member of the Securities Institute of Australia. He is a certified practicing engineer and an engineering executive.
Graham is a past Chairman of the National Committee for Construction Engineering and a past Civil Branch Member (ACT Branch) of the Institution of Engineers, Australia. He is a former National Councillor and ACT President of the Civil Engineering Contractors’ Federation of Australia.
Martin Boyd
Martin is responsible for all construction operations. He has earned an enviable reputation for completing difficult and complex projects, while at the same time meeting and exceeding the expectations of clients and consultants.
In recent years Martin has refined his skills in the Snowy Mountains completing significant projects such as the politically-sensitive Alpine Way Reconstruction at the Thredbo landslip which was the recipient of the ACT MBA Project of the Year Award.
Martin’s experience working in the mountains is unsurpassed and he is widely recognised and praised for his capacity to deal with unique challenges such as weather, labour and materials sourcing difficulties, restricted construction periods, severe access restrictions and very tight environmental constraints.
Martin holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree. He is a member of the Institution of Engineers, Australia. He is a certified practicing engineer.
