Apprenticeships

Huon offers apprenticeships at Certificate III level in both Civil Construction (Road Construction & Maintenance) and Civil Construction (Plant Operations). The vast majority of the training for these qualifications is carried out on the job in conjunction with MBA Group Training. Huon apprentices are employed directly by the company. Because of the flexible nature of the training we are able to award an apprenticeship at any time throughout the year, subject to availability. If you sign up for an apprenticeship with us we make a commitment to not only provide the training but to provide the widest possible variety of experience and coaching from our senior staff. Scholarships

Huon has formed an exciting strategic alliance with the University of Wollongong. Each year we offer an attractive scholarship to a second year civil engineering student interested in gaining significant work experience in the construction industry. This scholarship has been enthusiastically received by the civil engineering students at UOW because of the invaluable industry experience the student is able to gain with us.
